Let New Brunswick Sing!
Chantons, Nouveau-Brunswick!
The New Brunswick Choral Federation is an arts-service membership organization founded in 1979 to serve New Brunswick’s choral community and to promote the artistic, physical, mental and educational benefits of ensemble singing for individuals and communities.
Mission Statement
The purpose of the New Brunswick Choral Federation is to build and nurture a sustainable, vibrant choral culture in New Brunswick. We do this through:

Voice
Advocating for the provincial choral community and connecting choirs province-wide and with the broader Canadian choral community

Support
Serving choirs and the provincial choral community by providing valuable programs and opportunities.

Sustain
Maintaining an effective organization with the resources, management and vision to meet our mandate and serve our membership properly and with integrity.
Choirs and voice ensembles are privileged to live, work and sing, on the territories of many nations.
As a provincial entity, the New Brunswick Choral Federation carries out its work on the traditional, unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik, Peskotomuhkati or Penobscot, and Mi’kmaq peoples.
Welcome to Our New Executive Director

Jarred Beckerton comes from a very musical family with grandparents on both sides of his family involved in music. Jarred learned to play piano as a teenager by playing Baptist hymns with his Grandmother, he also played piano in various groups with his Grandfather, playing country bluegrass and Gospel music. Jarred is a graduate of Mount Allison University where he earned a Bachelor of Music. While his focused instrument was French Horn, he became very active in the choirs at Mount Allison as a chorister and soloist for the Elliot Chorale and Choral Society. He was a member of the New Brunswick Youth Choir in 2018 and 2019, and the 2020 Virtual Youth Choir. In 2020 Jarred successfully auditioned for the National Youth Choir of Canada, but the COVID-19 pandemic saw NYCC and Podium cancelled that year.
Jarred brings business and non-profit experience as a former Acting Store Manager with Circle K and Lead Coordinator of the Southwest Fundy Progressive Protection Council.
Jarred currently lives in Chamcook outside St. Andrews and is an active member of All Saints Church as a Youth Leader, and Music Director, he also serves on the Board of Directors for Shiretown Community Services and the newly formed Charlotte County Concert Band. In his down time, Jarred enjoys cruising and racing on his sailboat, knitting, and relaxing with his dog Seagram. He is enjoying working alongside current Executive Director Leo Macneil until fully transitioning into his new role June 1, and looks forward to meeting as many members and supporters as possible in the weeks and months to come!
NBCF President Bethany Dykstra writes, “Jarred has a wealth of knowledge and choral music background that he brings to our organization. As an experienced musician, singer, manager and organizer, Jarred has the vision and background to advance our programming opportunities, strengthen partnerships and support choirs and singers across New Brunswick."
Not Goodbye, but see you later...
